Full Programme

In addition to the CORE Programme all the activities and excursions below are also included in the FULL Programme holiday price:

Herbal Walk & Talk

Join us on a fascinating excursion into the interior of the island for a gentle walk and informative talk and discover Lefkas' impressive mountainous landscape and abundant flora.

Brigitte Roth-Kokotsis, with over twenty years phytotherapy experience, will point out a variety of herbs and plants and discuss their uses for cooking and healing. She illustrates some of her points with some fascinating anecdotes from Greek mythology too.

This informative morning finishes with an exquisite mouthwatering lunch at Maria's quaint Greek mountainside taverna serving organic food (charge applicable.)

Afterwards you can visit Brigitte's drying workshop where she sells her home made tinctures of rescue remedy, St John's Wort, Calendula cream, natural incense sticks, teas and more. On the way home you'll travel down the wilder west coast of the island with its spectacular views and unspoilt mountainside villages... not to be missed!

Aqua-Safari - A highlight of the week

This wonderful boat trip to secluded beaches and nearby reefs is a great opportunity to see some marine life and the island from a different view - if you're lucky you'll catch sight of dolphins and flying fish.

It's your choice to swim, go snorkelling or just laze on the beach.

Linda's Walks - Another View of Lefkas

Linda Ticehurst first came to Lefkas in 1988 and has since bought a small house in Agios Petros, a small mountainside village above Vassiliki where she now lives year round. Linda's walks take you through deserted villages, past hidden lakes and through the extraordinarily lush countryside just behind Vassiliki. She has a wealth of knowledge about Greece and the Greek people and Lefkas in particular. Her guided walks are a great way to take some light exercise while being thoroughly entertained.

(Please Note: Linda will be away mid July to September and an alternative walk will be arranged)

Cycling

We have a range of mountain bikes available. Join us on a easy ride through the orange and olive groves. Even if you've not ridden a bike since you were a child the paths and backroads are almost traffic free and you'll soon find your confidence. If you want a more challenging ride there are countless different routes through the countryside - and if you are looking for something extreme Mount Stavrota, just behind Vassiliki bay, rises to nearly 1200 metres, higher than anything in England and Wales!

Sailing Taster

The Wildwind centre has an impressive line up of dinghies and cataramans and a team of highly professional and approachable staff. You can try a simple taster session or sign up for a whole week on the water with the experts. The centre is a fully recognised RYA teaching establishment. Being such a prestigeous sailing location makes it perfect if you have a partner who is looking for a bit more activity on their holiday. As every thing is on the same site you can book joint packages.

Kayaking

A chance to get out and explore the bay in a 2 person kayak in the mornings when the water is totally calm. No experience is necessary; a full briefing is given and the whole experience is lots of fun - a really great way of seeing life at sea level.
